Cannabis is Legal in Minnesota

Minnesota legalized recreational cannabis for adults 21 and older. The state is regulated by the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), which oversees licensing, compliance, and consumer safety.

At Twin Cities Green Dispensary, we're fully licensed to sell recreational cannabis products. We're committed to helping our customers understand and follow Minnesota's cannabis laws.

While cannabis is now legal, there are still important rules about where you can buy it, how much you can possess, and where you can consume it. Read on to understand the key regulations.

⚠️ Never Drive Under the Influence

Driving while impaired by cannabis is illegal in Minnesota and extremely dangerous. There is no "legal limit" like with alcohol—any impairment can result in a DUI.

If you consume cannabis, plan ahead. Use a rideshare, taxi, or designated driver. Cannabis can impair your driving for several hours after use.

The penalties are serious: fines, license suspension, and even jail time for repeat offenses.

Legal FAQs

Can my employer still drug test me?

Can I take cannabis to another state?

No. Transporting cannabis across state lines is a federal offense, even between states where it's legal. Only possess cannabis within Minnesota.
